Nokia Lumia Icon for Verizon pre-order and release dates tipped

It has been a long journey for the Nokia Lumia Icon, but it appears the device could finally launch later this month. After seeing the device countless times (originally as the Lumia 929) we are finally seeing some rumored release dates. A screenshot from a Verizon inventory listing points to February 19th as the day units should arrive in stores.

The document lists the 19th as the release date, but the 20th is more likely. Verizon usually gets new phones on Thursdays. The report also says the Icon will be available for pre-order this Wednesday, February 12th, from Microsoft Stores. Pricing is still unknown, but we can expect to see the same pricing as other high-end Lumia models.

  • Qualcomm quad-core processor

Do we have any Verizon customers waiting for this phone?

Me! I have been waiting forever for this phone – currently an Android user – almost went with a Moto X the other day because I didn’t want to wait forever for this phone. Good thing I waited.

Watching and waiting since December. Love the camera on the 1020 but not the bulge and the 1520 is too large for me.

Just got back from the Microsoft store in Bridgewater NJ. Put down a 25 dollar deposit on a black 929. They say I can pick it up on the 20th. WAHOO!
