The 8-inch Windows tablet space is getting crowded. Late last month the Lenovo ThinkPad 8, our favorite 8-inch tablet, went on sale. We first saw the tablet at CES and fell in love with the high-res display and nifty cover. The Asus VivoTab Note 8 was also at CES, and today it has gone on sale as well.

The main thing that the Note 8 has going for it is a Wacom stylus. Since 8-inch tablets are easy to hold in one hand they make the perfect devices for a stylus. It just feels like writing in a notebook. Many people have been waiting for a tablet with stylus support, and the Note 8 is the first full Windows 8.1 8-inch tablet with it.

The 8-inch display has a 1280 x 800 resolution. Other specs include Intel Atom Z3740 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, micro SD card slot, and 5MP rear camera with 1.2MP front. The tablet itself is only 0.40-inches thick and weighs just 0.85 lbs. The VivoTab Note 8 is available now from the Microsoft Store for $329. This is a pretty nice tablet for the price. If you need a stylus this is the obvious choice, but if you are more concerned with display quality you can pay $100 more for the ThinkPad 8.
