Nokia wins a couple of awards at MWC, including one for the Lumia 520

GSMA is unveiling their winners for the 19th Annual Global Mobile Awards at MWC today. These awards are not just for devices at MWC, but the entire last year in the mobile industry. Nokia came away with a couple of awards for their efforts in 2013. Let’s take a look.

Nokia has always shined in the low-end market, and their awards reflect that. They won “Best Entry-Level or Featurephone” with the Nokia 105, and “Best Low-cost Smartphone” with the Lumia 520. Finally some trophies for the awesome Lumia 520, which has been dominating Windows Phone market share since release.

Nokia may not have the market share they once had, but they continue to be a major force in the mobile market. Their devices are some of the most well-built and innovative on the market. Just look at the amazing Lumia 1020 to see a device that is really pushing the limits. If you could give out some awards to Nokia what else would you give them?
