Yesterday, in Barcelona, Nokia held a special keynote event. During the event they did not unveil anything with the word “Lumia” on it, but they did have several new devices for pushing Microsoft services. The most interesting of these devices are the Android-powered Nokia X, X+, and XL. If you’re curious to hear what Nokia’s Stephen Elop had to say about these devices, and others, you can check out the abridged version below.

The funny thing about the video is how many times Elop said “Microsoft.” You’d think that with phone running Android he would have mentioned Google a few times. He did, but only when he was making it clear that the X family does not use Google services. Amazon has done a similar thing to Google with their popular Kindle Fire tablets, and now Nokia is looking to do the same. Will these devices funnel more users to Windows Phone and Microsoft services? We hope so.
