Unable to access gdocs in my Windows 8 Nokia Lumia 520 Phone

I purchased a new Windows 8 Nokia Lumia 520 and after downloading and installing gdocs software I could not access. When I tried to access gdocs it prompted me to enter user name and password. I entered my google user name and password correctly but the result in the screen is user name and password are incorrect. Hence I uninstalled the programme from my phone.
