Windows 8 rant

Windows 8 sucks eggs. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. Worst idea ever. Absolutely. In the name of artsy fartsy trendiness, they traded off good old-fashioned utility and ease of operation. W8 is cumbersome, confusing, and downright exasperating to try and navigate. Tried to give it the benefit of the doubt, but a year in, my verdict is the same as when W8 debuted = Windows 8 SUX. Been a loyal Microsoft/Windows user (vs. Mac/Apple, etc.) since the inception of personalized computing. Could easily follow & adapt to every OS revision they sent down the pike, from the very first version all the way up to Windows 7 w/no problem whatsoever . . . in fact, it just kept getting better & better. What is not broken does not need to be fixed, let alone SNAFU'd 9 ways to Sunday. And the worst part of it all is that the consumer doesn't even have the option, when purchasing new electronics, to be able to go with the old reliable OS. It's Windows 8 or nothing. Color me disgusted. I will cling to my beloved Windows 7 OS until the bitter end.

I don't think you'd see a whole huge amount of argument on this one. Most people I know that have made any comment on it hate Windows 8.
