HTC 8X black bar on top of apps?

I've noticed some apps have black bars on top, why is this? It makes the apps look small and cramped.

Yeah, I have that too. It's because the app hasn't been updated for the 8X screen resolution. It is definitely annoying.

this is why I didn't get an 8x when i went to the AT&T store to look at new stock. All apps that aren't updated for wp8 have that black bar. Stupid.

Lol, seems like a silly reason not to get it. So far I've used over 40 apps on my new 8x and only one of them had the black bar. Definitely worth the larger screen size imo.
