You should see the results from the data center I work at, these are child's play compared to that place.
No kidding eh? At my work, let me first say a multi-billion dollar electronic company, pays for 1Gbit, get's 9mbps it's ridiculous, the ISP that they are with is like, oh i mean that's spread out for all your devices. I was like, we have literally a dedicated line for EACH store, there is no way all 10 computers that's down that much. Anyways, that's usually what you see in Canada. I have Shaw and they are actually really good compared to other companies. The worst over here is the cell phone companies, they are really ridiculous. Rogers has a plan for roaming, tell me what you think Rogers.com - Data Roaming Calculator If i watched 3 clips @ 2560KB per file, it would cost me $230.40 lol what a joke, not even 10mb and getting absolutely destroyed.
Not that it's comparable, but my old internet connection was supposed to be 5 GBs/s, I think, but we only ended up getting about a MB/s, so we switched to FIOS. The whole data plan situation in the US and Canada is ridiculous though, way too expensive and not valuable enough to have me abandon a dumb phone. The situation you described is RIDICULOUS. $230.4? Awful.
