I would get a Windows 8 Tablet, have both a laptop and desktop and use both equally

Before I had a laptop, I shared a family desktop. Laptops just will always get more use from me, if only because of their portability

Oh for sure! Laptops are great for this use, i also got a free 12 cell battery for my HP which works wonders when i don't have my ac adapter handy. I see less and less of Desktops now, HP had over 5 different models, now your lucky to see 2. I see alot of All-In-One's now with the whole touchscreen capabilitiy, which will be very nice when Windows 8 comes out.

I'd certainly like to buy a Transformer like desktop if the battery life was long enough and the screen large enough!

That`d be pretty sweet! If Dell made this: Introducing the new Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook with a touchscreen, i`d buy it.

I love the lack of bezel on that thing, and the thinness would make it the ultimate transformer/tablet! I would maybe size down the screen to 11" for tablet portability, though!

I have a netbook, an Android phone, and a desktop. I used to spend most of my time on my netbook, but I gradually became more fond of using my phone, and I find I tend to be on the desktop a lot, but it's my gaming machine. But I find that the small screen of the netbook is sometimes a hindrance for me; I wonder if I had a laptop instead if I would use it more. I don't have a tablet, but I think if I did it I would use it as a cross between my phone and my netbook, and not get a lot done. :P

Personally, I believe laptops are way more useful than Netbooks, whose claims to fame are cheap prices, small screens and bad performance. When Windows 8 hits, you should really consider buying a laptop and kicking that netbook to the curb

I hear Ultrabooks are the way to go these days.

If all Windows laptops become cheap, good looking ultrabooks, I certainly wouldn't mind. Plus Microsoft is favoring ultrabooks with 5 point multitouch screens
