I didn't even know he did that! That sounds interesting, I'll read it now! Thanks!

Phonedog is probably the first tech site I ever read, but I found them on YouTube. I met David (TmoNews) and Taylor (Phonedog) at CES this year and they were really cool dudes.

I want to go to CES so bad, but seeing as I'm a lone blogger I doubt I could even touch anyone's CES coverage. I'd just love to meet people in the industry though, plus it seems like a good type of chaos.

This was the first year I went. It's...insane. Thank god I don't have to cover all the Android madness.

Meeting people is really cool, and I was kinda starstruck a few times. I saw a lot of people who I've been reading for years as a fan. It was surreal to see them in person. I even ended up in one of Joshua Topolsky's Twitpics lol.

P.S. We were at the press conference when Dish started all this Hopper nonsense you see in commercials all over now. They had a freaking live kangaroo. It was ridiculous.

I'd like to meet the Verge team in person, because although I've talked with Topolsky for a Techblitz interview, the entire staff seems like a giant group of funny people. I'd definitely be start struck, not only because of the tech writers but also because there would be a celebrity kangaroo sighting! I don't live close enough to Las Vegas to make the trip sadly on my own, so the only way I'd go if I started working for a site that pays for air fare.

If I remember correctly, the Microsoft keynote was kind of a rehash of everything they'd done, correct? Did you get to meet Ryan "the Keebler Elf" Seacrest?

I like Ars Technica, XDA, and of course the catch-all, Reddit.

Engadget isn't terrible, but their reviews are often incredibly slanted. Their Lumia 900 review was an embarrassment to objectivity.

I try to stay away from Engadget's reviews. I prefer video reviews because I can actually see the bias.

I thought it was a decent review actually! There were far worse reviews that I won't mention to prevent riling things up
