Another excellent feature the commercials should be showing off, but don't.
Nokia is trying to win attention via laughs and cheap shots, but they could do one commanding thing (catchy song, weird photo of a dog) and then transition into the beauty of the OS and the hardware. Like the videos posted on the other page, but built specifically for the Lumia.
Pretty much, I have been using such system since Siemens M55
It had awesome lights with configurable patterns

I just glance at the phone from my desk and that's it, no longer will I have to pick it up every 10 mins just to see if I missed any calls.
Same with HTC HD2

Another pet peeve, if you're gonna design a black phone...make the accessories black too. If it's cyan, make the accessories cyan. Apple made this mistake too, their black iphones shipped with white headphones. Lumia black and cyan both ship with white mini USB cord and white charger. Yes, it saves a bit of money to make all the accessories the same color, but in that case, make them the color of the most popular phone.
But I repeat, I still LOVE the phone more than any other on the market & reaaaally hope to win. :D *fingers crossed*. But details are important.
They tried to subsidize the phone's cost so they could sell it for $99, losing as little money as possible. I would say that's a small detail and you mentioned it saves money, so there's your answer on why you have a wide swath of colors with your future Lumia! :P
I don't remember if I read this or watched this, and I certainly dont remember where, but someone, somewhere complained that there was a problem about charging the phone. I was only half paying attention, but I think they said the phone cannot be turned off while charging, so that when youre charging it overnight, you have to go adjust your settings so it wont ring and wake you up. ...if that's not what it was, it had something to do with things not working as one would expect when charging.
Anyone see the same review or had that problem, or know what Im talking about? LOL. :D
That seems like a big annoyance & something rudimentary that they should not have missed. Can they fix it easily? Will they?
umm... Have you guys ever used wp7? Every wp7 can't charge while off. If you turn your phone off and plug it in, it will turn back on.
