5 minutes with the Lumia 900

I'm a iPhone user, but looking to move back to Windows world. I played with a Lumia at the AT&T store, and I'm impressed. It wasn't too big, which was a concern. But learning the "Windows way" of doing things will take time. Got a couple years of iPhone habits to break.

Camera button, kinda cool, but not enough to wow me.
Cyan texture, ok. Might like it to be a little soft and tacky for setting it on tables, etc.
Windows - fast. Quick smooth transitions. Fast downloads.

Think I might buy one soon -- 4 months or so.

Oh yeah, the store was in Redmond WA, and the AT&T employee asked in a sort of assuming tone "do you work at Microsoft?" Guessing most the people looking at the phone in the past couple days were Microsoft employees. FYI, I do not work at/for Microsoft.

I've been asked if I worked at Microsoft several times when asking about windows phones at Staples, etc...but they ARE close to Microsoft headquarters, so perhaps they get a lot of microsoft employees stopping in to see how well stores are doing selling them.

Are the lower level employees really that dedicated to the cause? I know almost everyone at Microsoft uses Windows Phones, but the fact that they are hardcore as you say they are is kind of weird

Now why would you assume they think I look like a lower lever employee?

But just the same, yes, there are lots of departments who would be interested. In fact it's not at all unusual for a CEO to sent entire departments out into the field to see how things are being presented, if sales people know what they're talking about. if the marketing is right, if the display is right, if they have enough or too many phones, etc.

No, you said: "they get a lot of microsoft employees stopping in to see how well stores are doing selling them." I automatically assumed that it wasn't the managers and the CEOs that were walking into Staples. I mean, it's not every day Steve Ballmer walks into a Staples and only does so for the sake of a punchline for an awful joke. I didn't know they deployed marketing teams though, that makes all too much since.
