Based on design alone, would you buy this concept tablet?

i was surfing the internet the other day and found this mock up for the Lumia tablet that everyone is all excited about. if specs didn't factor into it, would you consider buying this device for its design?

That design looks a little busy. I'd like something a little bit more like this:

Hell yes I would buy that. That is a hell of a lot sexier than the iPad.

The polycarbonate single handedly beats any Aluminium, but that's just my opinion . That would get serious points in the "sexy" department

that design is exactely what i have in mind when i think of an awesome nokia tablet! i think only the frame around the screen should be a little bit thinner (or the display bigger) do you think nokia will build in a 16:9/16:10 or a 4:3 screen?

Agreed, Nokia's build materials would definitely give the iPad's aluminum a run for it's money.

Absolutely! Their Polycarbonate design for the Lumia is way nicer and stronger than any iPhone or iPad

Normally I don't favor plastic over metal, but in this case the matte feeling of the Lumia line is so sturdy and feels good enough that it's a win in my books!

This one is neat, but I doubt that's how it will look like. I don't want to carry two Lumias, one large and other small.

It's a render, so I think this won't be Nokia's direction. It looks good, though!

Those are concepts! Color is one of the main attractors for the Lumia series!

I would buy it if I didn't already have a tablet.

The second design is really interesting. I prefer black electronics myself, but those colors are just muted enough not to be really offensive, like the Windows 8 poster that was posted the other day. Those colors are really too bright.

As for screen resolution, I'd say probably 16:9 or 16:10. Definitely not 4:3.

That's the problem, 16:9 on a tablet in portrait mode is way too tall. I think 4:3 is a way better standard for overall usability

I think they would have to round the edges a bit more. On the Lumia 900 edges are good but imagine in a bigger format the would not be comfortable to hold.

    And I want a stylus.

Make that a Wacom status, and this would definitely entice me and professionals who need powerhouse tablets

Great looking, I'd certainly look at it. also would depend what colors it came in. I like the red, but might be more comfortable with black . Also would want to know how it feels. I see the short ends have hard square edges. how would that feel? would it hurt after use?
