    Separate WP and Windows discussions

At this moment there is only one forum for both Windows PCs and Windows Phones, which might cause some troubles in the future once the forum grows.

It would offer much more diversity if Windows Phone forum was separate.

Are you suggesting we create a desktop/laptop section somehow? What would you suggest naming the category, forums, and sub-forums? We're definitely open to changing the forum however users would like it the most!

Do you think that will be necessary once Win8 launches? It sounds like the boundaries between the desktop and mobile platforms will continue to become more similar than different once it is out.

Maybe the distinguishing of "Windows PCs/Tablets" and "Windows Phones" could help. I know that I saw the "Windows Theme" thread and thought it was about desktop customization.

Agreed. It is a bit confusing but now it's okay, but it would still be nice if you had them seperated

I think it would help to have separate sections. A general pc section and a general phone section, i do see some overlapping of topics/threads if you use that model though.

I don't think the forum needs to be fragmented any more than it is currently. There are sections for individual phones, and the platform can be specified in the thread title easily with a [WP7]/[Win7].

I think it could use some clarification, though!

If not, there's always vistax64 and 7forums if you have Windows problems!

What if I just make a forum called "Windows Computers"? Then we can let things ride and see what direction we need to go next. Although I guess there would still be overlap in games, themes, etc... hmmmmm

Maybe just add Windows Phone to the names already available and then we could transfer all the existing Windows PC threads over to that new forum?
