Just wanted to pop in and say real quick - there is a lot to be said for just the touchscreen and tilt-back. It really changes your laptop experience to just be able to move you hand up 6 to 10 inches and poke the screen, rather than use the trackpad to navigate with a mouse pointer. Swipe around, etc.
If nothing else it serves as a great transition experience for those wanting to go full touch with Windows 8 but aren't quite comfortable with it. I'm not sure that's a realistic hope for power users but for a pretty sizable part of the market I would expect that's a reasonable hope.
I also really love that the screen on the ones we looked at (can see video on winsource.com) tilt all the way back. I can imagine that'd be useful for a number of things - like playing a two player game with a friend.![]()
They're nice laptops for sure. Between them and surface - I'm finally finding myself actually excited about a MS product for the first time.
