I actually can't find that game in the marketplace. Is it an app made my a phone manufacturer? Maybe there are different apps available in different countries.

As long as the app isn't malicious, and is either free or has a trial, I see no problems with getting some exposure in windows phone forums. He could have been more straight-forward sure, but you can't blame a dev for trying.
Are you guessing the app is his or am I missing evidence? I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but I'd be just as willing (or more) to check out his app! In fact, other threads that other devs. posted have gotten good responses by everyone!
