    Keyboard

For those of you with a Windows Phone, how does the keyboard hold up? Is it accurate, easy to use, powerful, etc? If you have used an Android or iOS device, how does it compare? I have read a bit about the keyboard, but I wonder how it performs on the average day. Are there any custom keyboards you can download?

I've only heard great things about the keyboard. Joanna Stern has said it's the best soft keyboard out there

Every review I've read has praised the keyboard, it sure beats the old iPhone 3g I had. Of course the iPhone is still sitting at what a 3.5" screen, my focus has a rather small screen as well....4", which still makes the keyboard significantly larger.

The keyboard does the thing where, when typing on a specific key, it enlarges the key, right?

Yes it does, and the predictive/autocorrect are easily the most accurate and least obtrusive I've used. When you're typing a word there's a word bank at the top of the keyboard that predicts the most likely and most used words. It's incredibly easy to add words to the dictionary, great for email addresses and usernames you don't want to type out all the time.

I have that word bank on the ICS Touchpad I have! For some reason, it doesn't understand contractions, though.

I find it easier to type on than any android keyboards, can't really compare with iOS because it's been too long since I used one. But yeah, the keyboard is excellent in my opinion

They keyboard really is amazing. It does this thing where it predicts the next letter you will press and makes the target for that letter bigger. You can't tell that it's doing anything, but its making the letter easier to press. Plus the autocorrect is exceptional.

I've had to use physical keyboards all my life and I don't know how hard it would be to adjust myself top living with an on-screen keyboard as my daily driver. Is the transition easy?

The keyboard is ok but I have a personal preference for physical keyboards, currently using an LG Quantum with a slide-out landscape keyboard. I wish landscape orientation worked universally with WP7 but it's not a big deal.
