I use it on my Macbook Pro, I personally think it feels a bit disjointed at times with the two interfaces, however it's a huge improvement over the developer preview and I hope it goes up from here. Once theres a flood of metro apps in the marketplace it'll feel less random. I find the metro UI with a mouse and keyboard is fine

Yeah, that's for sure, lots of people dislike it even now, they just dislike change and think that change is stupid I think it's a great system with a lot of potential and I love how has the Microsoft's approach changed over the last few years. Oh also one of the best features in Win8: The system finally tells you, which process uses the file you want to delete / manipulate with, if you can't do so

I have it as my primary OS. I haven't had compatibility issues and I really like the metro start menu. One issue One have is the live tiles. They don't work anywhere near as good as they do on Windows Phone.

How so? When I used it, I didn't think they were that useful, but they weren't bad either

So no more "this file is being used in another program?" without specification? Microsoft seems to be focusing on straightening out on the little quirks, and I like it!

I love the notification system, it works great But a hub for all notifications is still necessary. Unless there is one I haven't found yet... also I find the messaging application to be EXTREMELY unreliable. It randomly disconnects and then won't reconnect, or it says people are online which clearly means I am if it could load the contacts, then says "Sign in to send a message". Grr.

I also miss contact linking in the people hub. It'd be great if microsoft made a new standard of contacts, one made after linking contact accounts such as facebook, gmail, windows live.

Agree with you about a Notification hub. Maybe they can stick a tile in there devoted specifically for a notification center. The Message hub helped with Facebook messages, but it would consistently drop conversations and wouldn't let me start new ones with offline users! Also, Metro wastes a lot more space than is necessary. Just little annoyances that I hope are ironed out before release
