What do you think of the 900 Commercials?

Have you seen the "Smartphone Beta Test" commercials? Personally, I don't like them, for two main reasons.
    1. They don't show off the phone, leaving it up to the viewer to find the site. Even then there wasn't a picture of the phone
    2. They attack the iPhone specifically, and to win over iOS and Android users, it doesn't help to directly insult what they like/use. That's like going up to someone, telling them that their clothes suck and they should get a makeover. You need to be deft, not clumsy!
I wish they had advertised less on the viral sid and and a little bit more conventionally. Humor is all well and good, but these don't get the point across. What do you l?

I agree, aggression isn't always the best method of advertising. There was a pretty cool lumia 800 ad here in New Zealand on tv that I saw the other day, although I can't seem to find it on youtube anywhere.. If I come across it I'll chuck it in here. It advertised the main features of the phone such as facebook integration and xbox live. Although I don't think it was nokia who made it, I think it was the carrier.

    Was it something like this?

These commercials just seem too inefficient in actually showing off the product, but I do like Chris Parnell/Leo Spaceman, so I'm divided.

That AT&T one is actually really good. It shows off features of the phone, places it in a real setting, and shows the attractiveness of it from two angles: the owner and acquaintances.

You nailed it right there. The thing that's missing with the "Beta Test" commercials is actually showing off the phone. As much as I like Chris Parnell, let the phone speak for itself!
