SkyDrive was just upgraded, and cut everyone to 7GB, here's how to get your 25GB back

So SkyDrive was just upgraded to function like DropBox with standalone applications. All members were cut to 7GB, however if you have an account made before the upgrade, you can reclaim your 25GB. MS said this is a limited offer, so do it fast. All you have to do is login and click the "manage storage" link in the left pane. Or (if you trust that I'm not a spam bot [I'm really not]) just go to this link and login with your Live account, and you should get a message that you've been upgraded back to 25GB.

Thankfully I caught this in time, because now I have a mini-backup harddrive to put files on! I might use Skydrive, Dropbox and Google Drive to see which is best, but I do love Dropbox! Choices, choices!

Thanks for posting this, got my 25Gb back Dropbox is nice and propbably won't completely get rid of it. However, now that SkyDrive will have a desktop feature, it'll be so much easier to integrate across all devices of Microsoft's and Apple's

I love it, personally! I may put my Dropbox in my Skydrive, circumventing the system. All we need now is a Live redesign to fit Metro, because personally, that blueish gradient isn't cutting it. METRO, METRO, METRO!

Yeah the shared folder integration in DropBox is great. I know there's a share feature in SkyDrive, has anyone used it? Does it work similarly?

I've never used the share feature myself, but The Verge says the sharing is pretty great.
"SkyDrive also lets you share public links, view-only private links, and view/edit private links, which is nice to have. I love the new SkyDrive plug in. It works so much better than the Metro app.
