Exclamation HELP! Phone repeatedly forces memory to go to 0mb.

I have a samsung focus and it seems to forcefully zero out my memory when I know that I have 264mb left. I have to constantly restart my phone to get it back to 264mb. I don't know what is going on but it is really annoying and catches me off guard everytime
I want to take a picture no memory left. erase photos and such message appears.
I want to check my facebook. I can't because Its not logged in. I have to relog in because the phone couldn't remember me
I want to send a quick text message. no memory x(
I have no idea wth is going on and resetting my phone is not a option if I cannot back it up.
too many apps I've paid money for to just loose because of some software bug.

Did you put a microSD card in it? Certain ones have been known to cause issues with storage memory. If you bought it used, pop the back off and check if there's a microSD card. If there is you have a few options.

    1. Plug into Zune and check for updates. (Some of the Focus updates have helped resolve microSD issues)

    2. Remove the microSD and do a hard reset (Hold power button+volume down+camera until the reformat screen appears, follow on-screen prompts) You'll be back down to 8GB storage with this method, but at least your phone will be stable.
