What major apps are you missing?

    Hey guys,
Even with Microsoft paying money to get the major apps on Windows Phone, a lot of apps are still missing. If you came from other platforms, what apps, major or otherwise, leave a lingering feeling in your heart? I know Windows Phone isn't the highest priority for developers, but some people want to run from everlasting Temples!

Admittedly I don't really buy into the huge app craze, but I had an iPhone 3G, and the only app I'd really like to see is the Redbox app. That's only because the Redbox website is so poorly designed for phone use.

I didn't even know Redbox had an app! Do you miss any games, like Temple Run or the countless versions of Angry Birds?

I play that on my rooted Touchpad, and while it can be fun, most of the time the people cheat! :/

+1 to this. I find that 90% of the apps I download I never actually use. Which is why I usually hesitate to pay for apps...I'm really glad WP7 has the 'try it out' feature. The whole app count race by Apple is a stupid marketing gimmick to reel in customers. Nobody really needs that many apps, especially with a good OS.

However, one thing I'd like to see is a Remote app with Mac OSX functionality. I miss being able to control my iTunes library and other applications from my phone.

I agree about have all those apps, but there are still some major gaps in Marketplace. Hopefully, they'll get that fixed up before the end of the year!
As for an iTunes Remote, you always have this option: iTunes Remote for Windows Phone 7 Controls Playlists, Volume, and Multiple Libraries

If an app doesn't have a try now and is over $1.49 (minimum paid app price in local currency) It's a no buy for me. Good thing the majority of apps do If I enjoy something I always buy the app in support for the dev.

This sounds reasonable, the Try Now feature sounds genuinely useful. Is it a free trial, and if so, how long does that free trial last?
