Skype for Windows Phone: Special Features?

When Microsoft bought Skype they gained a HUGE potential advantage over iOS and Android. I'm a ridiculously huge Skype user. I'm really eager to see how Microsoft uses Skype to their advantage on Windows Phones and Tablets, similar to how Google has leveraged their assets like Google Maps and YouTube on Android.

Any idea what we can expect to see with Skype on Windows Phones in the next year? Will they offer features and services not found on the other platforms?

I really want them to integrate skype into the phone like they did with facebook chat. It would be great to get my messages right next to my sms and fb chat. Then they could have a little icon to click to start a video call.

That would be pretty awesome, Culat. You'd think when Microsoft bought the property that they were planning on integrating it into the OS so it feels baked in like everything else. It's really sad to see that Microsoft hasn't done that yet, as it could be one advantage for usrs over iOS and Android.

Skype is a really popular way for businesses to keep in touch when everyone is spread out all over the country.

Integration is coming with Apollo and, hopefully, Skype will be baked into Windows 8. The only thing I want from Microsoft is to "metrofy" the Skype app. Clouds and big text don't do it for me! :/
