Okay, I gotta say, Carbon for Windows Phone is awesome!

I was playing around yesterday with setting up my Lumia 900 the way I like it and trying to find replacements for many of the apps I used on Android. Twitter clients didn't really seem necessary, but I often like to read various things on Twitter that my people hub just doesn't show me, so I started trying out new clients.

Carbon is completely awesome. The animations are fluid, the way information is presented fits into the metro theme very, very well and the individual view for tweets is one of the best I've seen even even on Android. The only thing I have a complaint about is that I can't type tweets in landscape mode, which I'm more comfortable doing than in portrait mode, so hopefully this is something that will be added. Overall, very satisfied.

Have you ever tried Rowi? I hear that's one of the best. Also, could you confirm that the scrolling isn't buggy? The Verge said many of the third party twitter apps had laggy scrolling

I haven't had any troubles scrolling through third party apps on my phone. Additionally, I haven't performed extensive camera testing yet, but I don't seem to have any of the pink spot issues they're having, either. I'm putting together an article for this purpose, though.

Cool, it will be interesting to test their claims! I love The Verge, but I'd like to actually see these complaints tested to see if they are as bad as they make them see

Have you tried Birdsong? I use that one, and I love it It has a really cool navigation bar type thing at the top which I think fits great with metro

It's like pivots but they take up less space! Picture for reference:

Carbon just got updated today and added landscape composition, which was the only real thing I was missing coming from twicca on Android. Filters are also nice for filtering out sports talk when people go crazy on twitter about sporting events. Yegh.

Some sports events are almost too cray not to tweeet about. I know I tweeted about this year's shocking puppy bowl!

No matter how many Twitter apps I try, I just can't seem to find one I like better than the People Hub.
