Put TV shows and Movies from my computer to Windows Phone?

I've got a ton of TV Shows and Movies on my computer. They're all different file types that I've gotten from a bunch of different sources but I'd love to get some of them onto my phone for watching on the bus, or car rides, or wherever else I'm *stuck*.

All the conversion and connectivity stuff often confuses the hell out of me so I'm wondering if anyone has any fool proof ways, methods, rules, and all that jazz for getting movies, music and other media from your computer to your windows phone?

If you have them in Windows Explorer you can sync them via Zune- just check if it's a supported file type!

To convert video files, try opening them in Windows Movie Maker and then saving them as a wmv file.

To find a list of supported Zune file types, either go to the Zune software, Settings, Software and then File Types to allow for different file types to be played in Zune. If the file works in Zune, it automatically will work on your phone. Here's a list of Zune supported file types: Zune audio and video formats | Zune.net

To sync music, pictures, videos, and podcasts
Connect your Windows Phone to your Mac using the USB cable that came with your phone.

In the left pane, click the type of media that you want to sync (Music, Photos & Videos, Movies & TV Shows, or Podcasts), and then do one of the following:

To sync music, select the Sync music from iTunes library check box.
To sync photos and videos, select the Sync photos and videos from iPhoto library or the Sync photos and videos from the Aperture library check box (depending on which library you're using). To include videos too, select the Include videos check box as well.
To sync movies and TV shows, select the Sync movies and TV shows from iTunes library check box.
To sync podcasts, select the Sync podcasts from iTunes library check box.
Select the files you want to sync, and then click Sync.
