    Stop Music on Windows Phone?

In my opinion, one of the most idiotic things about Windows Phone is that you can't easily close the music player. Some people have said "turn your phone off and on" or suggested downloading an app called "Stop the Music" but really? Shouldn't Microsoft be able to figure out an easy way to handle music management?

There is a reason Apple won the music war. I wish Microsoft would have learned their lesson but it appears they haven't. Please, Microsoft if you're reading this, IMPROVE THE MUSIC EXPERIENCE ON WINDOWS PHONE!

If you press the volume rocker you can stop the music there. Or tap the song name to be taken to your playlist.

I doubt the music player uses any resources while it's not playing. There's no good reason to actually close the app. Just pause whatever's playing using the media button. If you think double-tapping the home button, swiping to the left and pressing Pause (the only way I see to do it on my dad's iPhone) is more intuitive than that, well... I don't know what to tell you.

I'm confused, can't it be paused and stopped with the closing of the Zune app in the multitasking menu?

The volume bar gets too damn big sometimes when the music is paused, and it's just annoying. I use stop the music to close it when it starts to bother me though

Do you mean the bar that appears when you change the volume?
