When the 41MP PureView 808 came out earlier this year it wowed even those who lauded the 16MP Titan II. Of course, there are many factors that make up a great camera, not exclusing the raw megapixel count. There are hints from Nokia that the follow up to the original PureView phone may not have the same massive megapixel count that the original launched with.

Nokia will most likely release a PureView camera in the Lumia line in the next six months or so, but the tech in the upcoming handsets could feature toned down versions of what was previewed earlier, mainly because the 808′s camera component was very bulky. It’s interesting to see Nokia try and slim down their PureView technology for more practical every day uses.
