One of the things a lot of people love about Windows Phone is the People Hub. Naturally, Microsoft has taken that idea and planted it in Windows 8. On the Official Windows 8 blog they have posted a video to show off what the People app can do.
Spoiler: it does pretty much what the People Hub on your phone does.
