Coin a New Word, Win a Lumia 900 For Your Efforts

Ashley is a 26 year old with an enthusiasm for all things technology related. She hails from the Southern United States and when she's not tweaking her Android handset, she can usually be found in front of the computer or Xbox 360 enjoying the latest game releases.

You love it when new words are put in the dictionary, right? Think of all the slang words that have made it in over the years. YOLO, right? HarperCollins, the publisher behind the Collins Dictionary has started a new contest in order to crowdsource new words for their dictionary. If you’re keen on thinking up a new word and your entry wins, you could be rewarded with a new Lumia 900 for your efforts.

The contest is currently running July 17th through August 31st and anyone who submits a new word is automatically entered into the daily drawing. You can check out the latest submissions by clicking here and if you’re keen on going down in history as a lexicographer, you could submit your own newly made up words. Like Beeble. Totally just made that up. Don’t even know what it means. We’re done here.
