Assistant for Windows Phone is another Siri competitor

Ever since Siri was born on the iPhone 4S we’ve seen competitors pop up on every platform. Google might have the underhand with their latest offering in Android 4.1, but we’ve yet to see what Microsoft has up their sleeves. Until then we will rely on some really impressive 3rd party apps, the newest one called “Assistant” looks promising.

Assistant is developed by Speak To It, and they use the same voice recognition engine as Ask Ziggy. Assistant lets you choose an avatar for the assistant, and you can choose from a few different voices as well. The app can do things like send tweets, find YouTube videos, and read the news. It’s free for the first 10,000 downloads, so grab it while you can!
