Earlier this week we told you about the Lumia 820-variant coming to Verizon in the form of the Lumia 822. WMPU has gotten a bit more information about the device, including rumored pricing. Bing Maps will be branded as Nokia maps on the device and will be able to download 55 different voices, including one a “surfer dude” voice. Documents can be shared in a variety of ways, including Bluetooth, tap2send, and Outlook, while photos have several other options including messaging, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.
When the device is connected to a Windows 7 PC, it’s not recognized by Zune or the PC. This is likely something that will change in the weeks coming up to release. The 16GB version comes with a microSD slot and the device does have wireless charging, but the shell is not removable or replaceable, unlike the true Lumia 820 and the Lumia 810 being released on T-Mobile. The device will retail for $49.99 with a 2 year contract.
What do you think about these specs and rumors concerning this new Verizon-only phone?
