The gaming world was excited when Valve announced Steam for mobile for Android platforms, so much so that user MetroUX on Deviant Art has put together a few mock ups of what the Steam service could look like on various Windows devices. They’re definitely clean and metro-like and something most gamers would like to see, but a similar service called Steam Friends is already available. It’s more based off of the Android app than something metro all its own, though it does feature a live tile that shows you Steam’s latest updates.
Here we have Steam for a Windows 8 tablet, which looks nice but is even less likely to happen given Gabe Newell’s opinion on Windows 8. Still, it’s nice to look at these and hope. Maybe the developer of Steam Friends could consider these as inspiration, since Valve will likely never release anything for Windows Phone or Windows 8. If you’d like to petition Valve to support Windows Phone/8 click here. What do you think about the concepts?
