Did you pre-order a Microsoft Surface RT tablet?

It’s been a couple days since Microsoft Surface went up for pre-order, and initial reports show positive consumer reactions. The 32GB version without a Touch Cover has already sold out, and we expect the other versions to also be doing well. A lot of people were very anxiously awaiting the Surface RT tablet, so now that it is here we’re wondering how many of you jumped on it.

Which version did you opt for? Did you grab a Touch Cover or Type Cover to go along with it? What color? Or are you waiting for the Windows 8 Pro version?

I want the pro version so badly but I dont know what keyboard to get with it. What do you recommend (why?)

I pre-ordered myself a 64GB Surface, White touch cover and digital AV cable!
Right now I have two computers - a regular desktop PC, and a laptop. I guess I’m a bit of a power user.
My Surface RT is going to be the replacement for my laptop, which I only really ever used for quick and easy web browsing, chat, watching videos etc.
My desktop PC will be replaced with a Surface Pro when that’s released!

It boils down to how much typing you think you’ll do on the device. With both Surface devices, you have a choice of an on-screen keyboard, the touch-cover keyboard, or the type cover.
The Type cover has physical keys - perfect for those who plan to do allot of typing, as it will be more comfortable and ergonomic. For those doing less typing, the touch cover could well be a better choice, as it’s thinner, lighter, and will probably be a slightly more flexible cover.
In my case, I plan to get a Surface Pro and use it as a PC replacement - I’ll be using it mobile, but when I’m at home I can hook up a full size monitor, and use a full size wireless keyboard and mouse (and a USB 3 hub for any other peripherals I might want to connect). So, that means I’ll rarely need to have something like Type Cover - but I might get one anyway … just in case!

I’d prefer the pro version, as most everyone else here have said, but I’m really waiting on the reviews, hands on videos, and articles to go up before I even think twice about dropping that much cash on a new OS and hardware combo.
