Did you upgrade to Windows 8?

It’s been four days since Windows 8 was made available to the public. In that four days we’ve seen a lot of excitement for the new OS. Apps are filling up the Windows Store, commercials are on TV, and people seem to be embracing the new direction Microsoft is taking. So what about you?

Have you bought into the Windows 8 hysteria? Personally, I decided to upgrade my one and only computer to Windows 8 on day 1. When change is coming I like to embrace it instead of putting it off. Have you upgraded your old system? Did you buy a new Windows 8 PC? Or are you waiting for some things to get ironed out? Let us know below!

If you have upgraded, be sure to check out the Windows 8 forum!

I put it on the laptop earlier today to test the waters. Everything seems to be working fine with it so I went ahead and pushed it on my desktop/workstation too. May as well get used to the future while it still has that new smell to it.

this would be the 1st time I dont upgrade to a new Windows OS. I bought a MBA a few weeks ago and wont be dual booting. Maybe I’ll get to use it if I buy a W8 tablet.

Bought it for my Macbook Pro, it took 2 days to figure out how to get it fully functional without freezing but its up and running now and my main OS

Been using it for 3-4 months both on a Samsung slate and on my desktop computer… I bought 2 licenses the first day.
    I love it….

I put Windows 8 on my laptop like Mark. I’ve been playing around with it and getting used to it before I put it on my desktop. I want to make sure driver support is there for graphics, since I use my desktop as a gaming machine mostly.

I have used Windows 8 from the first week of Beta. I installed the full version after midnight availability. Works great. Love it. If I see a problem, or want to add a suggestion, Ouse the forms for each application, and submit them to MS.

    Nope. Don’t plan on it.

I’ll wait to see backward compatibility in both software and hardware areas.

Installing at this moment on my media/gaming computer, have also been running RP since it was released on my laptop, which will also get a full license when the first one is finished. Can’t understand why you wouldn’t upgrade; you get a faster, and in my opinion better-looking OS for a small price (going with the downloadable upgrade). And if you hate the the new Start Screen (a big improvement over the Start Menu imo) so much, just install Classic Shell.
