Windows Phone 7.8 upgrade information will be announced “soon”

One of the things conspicuously absent from yesterday’s announcement was Microsoft’s dedication to its current userbase. No matter how you feel about the Windows Phone 7.8 update, the fact that Microsoft has been mum on the issue means that their priority is getting you to upgrade to Windows Phone 8 before they offer their piecemeal solution to those of us who bought into the ecosystem before the release of Windows Phone 8.

While no official information from Microsoft on the Windows Phone 7.8 update has been released, the Nokia News tweet pictured above and caught by winp.cn gives us hope. Anyone still looking forward to the WP7.8 update or has Microsoft convinced you to jump on that WP8 bandwagon with their phone offerings?

“Nokia News” is not related to Nokia. I don’t understand why its quoted all over the net.

How can I look forward to an update to 7.8 when At&t still has my HTC Titan stuck on the same version 7720 from when I purchase it almsot a year ago? I am quite sure I am not alone in this. There is no way I am purchasing a Windows Phone 8 and 2 year agreement with At&t being responsible for the updates and fixes and Microsoft sitting on their hands acting helpless. I would have to be JACKASS to do that knowing I would still get the same poor support with Windows Phone 8 like I got with Windows Phone 7.5.
