Last weekend Surface Pro finally went on sale, but consumers are having trouble just finding a place to buy one. It sold out quickly online, and retail stores reported having very limited quantities. The 128GB version was especially popular. if you’re still trying to get your hands on one we have some good news. Surface team leader Panos Panay was answering questions on Twitter during the #winchat. He was asked when Surface Pro will be back in store, and he had this to say:
@evansturdivant We are shipping more 64gb now to BBY, Staples, MS Store and online. 128gb at BBY and MS Stores by Saturday #winchat

Panay also said that demand for Surface Pro continues to be great. Without sales numbers we really can’t know for sure how “great” the demand is. With Surface RT sales reportedly low we hope that many people were waiting for the Pro model. Either Microsoft didn’t give stores enough units, or they really are selling well. We’ll wait for some official numbers. Until then this weekend looks like the time to snag a Pro.
