After some drama concerning the Microsoft-made YouTube app for Windows Phone is appears Google is ready to cooperate. The Verge is reporting that Google has announced they are working together with Microsoft to create a brand new YouTube app. This is welcomed news after the recent disputes.
The whole thing started a few weeks ago when Microsoft released an unofficial official YouTube app. Google sent them a cease and desist after citing numerous terms of service violations. Earlier this week Microsoft updated the app to comply, but now it looks like a real official YouTube app is on the way. It looks like Microsoft’s trap worked beautifully.
