For the better part of two months we’ve been hearing about the Nokia EOS ( a.k.a. Lumia 1020) hardware, but not a lot about what that hardware can do. The hardware, of course, includes the massive 41MP PureView camera. We’ve seen what the 808 PureView could do with the 41MP sensor, but what will photos from the EOS look like?
The above photo of Joe Belfiore (click to enlarge) comes from Flickr where the camera is listed as “Nokia Lumia 1020.” A couple of photos were posted on the Flickr account, but have since been made private. The photos were in 5MP and 3.7MP variety. Numbers aside, the photo of Joe looks absolutely amazing for a smartphone. This also puts the name confusion rumors to rest. It’s highly unlikely that Joe Belfiore would fake EXIF data. The Nokia EOS = Lumia 1020.
Does the sample photo look good enough to make you want a Lumia 1020?
