Bigger is better, or at least that’s what phone manufacturers would like us to believe. In some case that’s true. Windows Phone 8 hasn’t seen many gigantic displays. The biggest so far is the 4.5-inch Lumia 920 family. A new device has leaked that could bump the screen size up a few notches.
The Verge has learned about a new handset from Nokia called the Lumia 625. As the name suggests, this will be a low-end phone, but with a twist. Instead of the usual small low-end displays this one will have a whopping 4.7-inch display. The phone will also have LTE support. The other specs are right in line with where a low-end phone usually is. 1.2Ghz processor, 512MB of RAM, and 5MP camera. There is no word on U.S. availability, but it should work on AT&T unlocked.
A low-end phone with high-end screen size is an interesting device. The device should still be extremely affordable, like the regular Lumia 620, but offer a high-end feel for the user. If big is what the people want, Nokia is going to give it to them. Would you want a low-end phone with a big screen?
