One of the biggest hurdles the Lumia 1020 has to jump is the $300 on-contract price. Despite having a camera that can rival some DSLRs, most people won’t drop that kind of money on a phone, especially if they aren’t familiar with Windows Phone to begin with. The 1020 has only been available for a few weeks, but it is already getting a price cut.
Over on Amazon the 41MP beast is on sale for just $249.99 with a two-year contract. That price goes for new and exiting AT&T customers. Off contract pricing remains at $699.
