We’ve been following the inevitable death of Microsoft Points closely since Microsoft announced they will be replaced with real currency several months ago. Like most Xbox users, we are not fans of Microsoft’s annoying digital currency. Last we heard an update was being planned for the Xbox 260 that would kill Points once and for all. It looks like that update is being rolled out today.
Xbox users can now use real money to purchase things, just like on Windows and Windows Phone. No more mixing and matching Point values to get to the perfect amount. Just pay what it costs. Any points you have in your account will be switched over to real money values. It’s really crazy that this has taken so long to happen. Points were never a good idea, and people have hated them forever.
Have you received the update on your 360 yet?
Thanks everyone!
