Well, this is a first. AT&T is dropping the price of a phone before it even launches. The Lumia 1520 was announced last week to go on sale November 22nd for $199 with a new two-year contract. Over the weekend AT&T dropped that price to $99. You can pre-order it now for that price and it will ship on November 19th.
Why did AT&T drop the price so quick? We have no idea. It could be because they didn’t the amount of pre-orders they wanted, or it could just be an oversight that doesn’t last very long. Either way if you want this phone you should move quickly to take advantage of this price. We’re not sure how long it will last.
If you’re not the pre-ordering type you can wait until Friday and pick one up in a store. We assume it will be available for the originally announced $199, but who knows. Friday can’t come soon enough!
