Yesterday AT&T announced its exclusivity deal with Nokia to carry the Lumia 920. Many people were happy to see the cyan color return for the phone, but T-Mobile and Verizon customers were upset that the flagship phone would be unavailable to them. Today, Bell and Telus customers of Canada have the same to worry about. Rogers confirmed today in a press release that it will be the sole carrier for the Lumia 920 in Canada.
The handset will be delivered in November just like its AT&T counterpart, running on Rogers LTE network. Nokia’s General Manager for Canada, Don Leeke, had nothing but good things to say about the exclusivity deal.
“Rogers’ decision to offer the Nokia Lumia 920 in Canada is another example of the forward momentum behind our Lumia devices as well as the broader Windows ecosystem.”
Of course, no pricing for the region was put in place, so we’re still left scratching our heads at what Nokia is doing. Many avid Windows Phone enthusiasts who were pumped about the Lumia 920 are less so after several months of no pricing available. How do you feel?
