Windows Phone users are happier than Android users, says latest survey

A new survey has revealed that Windows Phone users have higher satisfaction levels than Android users. This isn’t exactly a new trend, in fact we’ve mentioned it in the past. Windows Phone devices generally have higher ratings in stores than Android devices.

The survey reveals that iPhone users are still the happiest with 71% satisfaction. Windows Phone comes in next with 53%, and Android last with 48%. 53% isn’t as high as we’d like to see, but it’s clear that many users are upset with the 7.8 fiasco. So while Windows Phone is still beating Android, it has a long way to go to reach iPhone levels. The number could rise once Microsoft finally releases the Windows Phone 7.8 update.

    I would think it has to be higher because, if people have moved away from the multitude of apps, the huge array of handset choice for Android, and the false-glamour associated with having an Apple device, you’d have to really enjoy the experience.

    HA! Someone really wants to see Windows Phone beat everybody. Keep dreaming. To answer your question about satisfaction with my Windows Phone, I am very dissatisfied with mine. I doubt the little 7.8 cosmetic surgery will make up for it, if we even get it. After a year and a few months with no updates and Microsoft abandoning the platform, I have pretty much wrote mine off as a lost. I really don’t feel like giving Microsoft anymore of my money for science project phones.

    Oh. I love Microsoft, I just hate the lousy job they have done with Windows Phone.

    Seeing there seems to be less comments on each post, I would say me reading and commenting keeps your post from going in vain. It also keeps you all with a job. Keep up the good work.

    I wonder if the results of the polls are somewhat affected by WP8 being a newer platform. The fact that WP8 is, legitimately, the big break for the OS, not a lot of people would even consider switching to the OS or even hear of it until now. As a result, the only people who were already on, or now switching to, WP8 were the ones who were hard-set on the features and general design of the OS. So of course they’d be happy, since they got to make their choice of the three and get the showroom-new design with all the features the early-adopters (I guess I could say “we”) were expecting anyways.

    In other words, I wouldn’t be surprised if Android had more “satisfied” customers than iOS back when WP was still better known as Windows Mobile, preceded by iOS customers being absolutely blown away by the iPhone over the competing feature/smartphones of ’07/’08.
