Is Chrome for Windows freezing up all the time?

If you find that Chrome is constantly freezing up in Windows a user on Google+ has the answer for your problems.

After some time I realised it would only occur when I used Chrome. A reinstall of Chrome didn't solve the issue though. I had the feeling it had something to do with multimedia because the freezes happened nearly instantly when I tried a Youtube video, or opened Hangouts in Chrome. Finally after searching I found what apparently was the solution for me and many others suffering from the same problem. In the current Google Chrome browser there's a conflict with older Realtek on-board sound drivers. On my Windows there was still the driver version 6.0.1.5995 from 2009 installed. After updating the driver to the latest (March 2013) version I haven't experienced any freezes any more!

Thanks for the share , I think it will help me fix the issue on my machine .. Chrome on my machine often freezes up and I was wondering why... so I am not a big fan of the browser even though the browser is much faster ... but freezing up really sucks and sometimes have to restart the browser...

I regularly update my drivers even if I don't have any problems with Chrome.
