The HTC 8XT was the very first Windows Phone 8 device to be available on Sprint. In name and specs it was similar to the HTC 8X, but in appearance it looks like the HTC 8S. Sprint’s first Windows Phone 8 device was a safe dip into the pool, but a very necessary step to take. After the 8XT, all carriers in the U.S. offered at least one Windows Phone 8 device.
