Microsoft usually relies on their partners to create the hardware that goes with their software. Every once in a while Microsoft steps in to create their own device, and when they do it’s usually something special. With Surface, Microsoft has reused the name that was previously for their multi-touch table, ad created a beautiful Windows 8 tablet. Surface is Microsoft’s answer to the iPad, and a emphatic answer it is.
