Nokia has been a busy little bee and has had plenty of announcements to share for Mobile World Congress. One of the more exciting app announcements is that the company will be bringing Nokia Transport to Windows Phone. The app originally released on Symbian devices and provides information on underground tram, train, and bus directions for more than 500 cities in 45 countries.

The Verge did a quick hands on with the app which you can see below. The mapping is provided by Bing and you can search for restaurants, hotels, and many points of interest from directly inside the app. Transport is for mainly geared for pedestrians in new cities and will be available on the new Lumia 610 and Lumia 900 devices, but we’re sure the Lumia 710 and Lumia 800 will receive an update with the app at some point in the future.

That would be really neat if there was any actual public transportation in my area.
