Acer has been relatively quiet in the past few weeks before Mobile World Congress, but according to Julien Bertheuil, the company is not planning on abandoning Windows Phone any time soon. The company recently announced a restructuring program that would see fewer devices released to better help product focus.

Bertheuil spoke a bit about Android and how it plays a major role in the mobile market, but he also felt Windows Phone has a place as well, saying:

“Windows Phone 7 is a very good and credible alternative to what’s already on the market and its a good platform to use as well.”
