Boogedy, boogedy, boogedy, let’s go racing! Microsoft promised the Unity game engine would come to Windows Phone 8, and today for the first time a game is taking advantage of that. Drift Mania Championship 2 is the first game for Windows Phone 8 to take advantage of Untiy.
The game is your standard racing game with many options for cars and tracks. What puts Drift Mania apart from something like Asphalt 7 is the graphics and gameplay, thanks to the Unity game engine. The game does play nice and it is very smooth, but at this time Asphalt 7 is still a better game. Drift Mania is available now for $1.99 only for Windows Phone 8 devices, and there is no free trial. We’re happy to see developers using the Unity engine, but we hope some better titles start popping up. Drift Mania is a good start, and we’re sure racing fans will be all over it.
